In 1964, under the glow of a supermoon on a rainy night, Ganesh and Lalitha, a couple who have eloped to marry, travel by car with their friend Manohar. Manohar appears supportive but secretly harbors sinister intentions, being in love with Lalitha. Along their journey, they encounter a mud-stuck cart carrying a heavy angel statue, too large to move. After maneuvering past it, they reach Manohar’s beach house to spend the night.
Manohar, intoxicated and armed with a pistol, sneaks toward the couple’s room with plans to kill them. However, flickering lights and a strange noise distract him. A gunshot suddenly rings out, and when he rushes back, he finds Ganesh and Lalitha dead. The horrifying truth of the killer’s identity shocks him.
Sixty years later, in the present day, Vasanth and Aaranya, a married couple facing relationship troubles, plan a weekend trip to their newly purchased apartment in a quiet township. They are the first residents, with only a lone security guard on duty. On their way, they pass the angel statue, still standing since 1964, its history steeped in mystery. Attempts to relocate it have always failed, leading the church to deem it divinely placed.
Strange occurrences begin soon after their arrival. The security guard is missing. A mysterious painting is delivered by an unknown sender. When the power goes out, an odd noise echoes in the darkness. Aaranya glimpses a shadowy figure but finds no one upon investigating. Their doorbell later rings, and Vasanth’s friend appears, annoyed at receiving a late-night call he claims they made—but they never did.
Later, Aaranya notices lights in the supposedly empty apartment opposite theirs. On closer inspection, it appears to be a mirror image of their own apartment, with identical décor and furniture. Events take a terrifying turn. Their curtains catch fire but return to normal moments later. A shattered painting reassembles itself. When Vasanth slides a note under the neighbors’ door, it inexplicably returns to their apartment.
The situation escalates when an intruder, an alternate version of Vasanth, attacks him. The couple realizes that crossing the pitch-black area between their apartment and the opposite one shifts them into parallel timelines. Each timeline differs slightly but disturbingly. In one, extinguished candles are relit. In another, their curtains remain intact after previously catching fire. Vasanth deduces that the supermoon has reopened a wormhole, connecting parallel realities.
A misunderstanding arises when Aaranya overhears a conversation between Vasanth and her friend, mistakenly believing he is having an affair. Hurt, she storms into the darkness and disappears into another timeline. Desperate to find her, Vasanth encounters an elderly Manohar, who reveals the truth about the events of 1964. The wormhole first opened that night, allowing Manohar to witness his alternate self murdering Ganesh and Lalitha. Manohar warns Vasanth that the wormhole will close when the supermoon fades. Vasanth must reunite with Aaranya or eliminate his parallel self to secure his place in reality.
Vasanth repeatedly crosses timelines, searching for Aaranya. He finally finds her but realizes she has no memory of the night’s events. On their way home, she remarks on his prolonged absence during the power outage. It dawns on Vasanth that she is not the original Aaranya but a version from another timeline.
At a gas station, Vasanth encounters another version of himself in the restroom. Returning to Aaranya with a mysterious smile, he leaves the audience questioning: which version of Vasanth has truly returned, and what fate awaits them in this timeline?
