Satyanarayana under the banners of Kona Film Corporation and MVV Cinema, respectively. It features Anjali, Srinivasa Reddy, Sunil, Rahul Madhav, Satyam Rajesh, Shakalaka Shankar, and Satya in prominent roles. A sequel to the 2014 film Geethanjali, the movie blends comedy and horror to deliver an engaging narrative. It was released on April 11, 2024.
Sreenu, Athreya, and Arudra are close friends who share a penthouse. Sreenu, once celebrated for his directorial success with the hit film Geethanjali, has recently suffered three consecutive flops. This streak leaves him disillusioned about his future in the film industry. His friend Ayan, who operates a fast-food cart in Vizag, dreams of becoming a movie star. Ayan lies to his girlfriend’s father, claiming he has been cast as a lead actor in Sreenu’s upcoming movie produced by Dil Raju. When Sreenu finds out about Ayan’s deception, he decides to leave the film industry and throws a farewell party for his friends.
The following day, Sreenu receives an unexpected offer from Vishnu, the boss of a production house called Govinda Govinda. Vishnu wants Sreenu to direct a horror-comedy based on his own script. Sreenu agrees, on the condition that Ayan will play the lead role in the movie. Meanwhile, Venkat Rao, a ventriloquist, becomes entangled with a spirit. Geethanjali, who has been trapped inside a doll by a mysterious Babaji, seeks Venkat Rao’s help. She is desperate to find her sister, Ushanjali, who runs a struggling coffee shop in Ooty.
Sreenu and his team travel to Ooty to meet Vishnu, who offers his bungalow, Sangeeth Mahal, as a shooting location. Unbeknownst to them, the bungalow is haunted by three vengeful ghosts—Nataraja Sastry, his wife Lakshmi, and their daughter Mohini. The family, once renowned classical dancers, met a tragic end due to honor killings within their household. Nataraja Sastry killed his elder daughter after she eloped with her lover. Later, when Mohini also tried to elope with her boyfriend, her parents assaulted her lover, leading him to commit suicide. Unable to bear the tragedy, Mohini immolated herself, triggering a fire that engulfed the entire family. This story inspires Vishnu’s horror-comedy script.
As filming progresses, the crew begins experiencing paranormal events. Sreenu, Athreya, and Arudra discover the ghosts but choose not to alarm the others. Instead, they convince the crew that these are professional method actors hired for the film. However, things take a darker turn when the ghosts disrupt a pivotal scene.
It is revealed that Vishnu has a hidden agenda. He is the son of Ramesh Rao, a man wronged and killed by Sreenu and his friends in the past. Vishnu has orchestrated the entire film project as a trap to exact revenge. He bought the haunted bungalow and manipulated the team into staying there, fully aware of the spirits’ presence. His plan is to use the ghosts to kill Sreenu and his group in the same manner they killed his father.
Sreenu and Ushanjali, now suspicious of Vishnu, investigate and find a photograph of Ramesh Rao in Vishnu’s house. Realizing Vishnu’s true intentions, they decide to steal the agreement papers tying them to the project. Their efforts lead to a deadly confrontation. Ramesh Rao’s spirit possesses Vishnu and begins killing the group. Arudra and Athreya fall victim to the vengeful spirit.
As Sreenu and Ushanjali fight for survival, Venkat Rao arrives with the possessed doll containing Geethanjali’s spirit. Releasing Geethanjali from the doll, she possesses Ushanjali to confront Ramesh Rao’s spirit. In a climactic showdown, Geethanjali defeats Ramesh Rao using a magical mirror to trap his spirit inside a new doll. With Vishnu killed during the confrontation, the remaining characters are saved.
In the end, Geethanjali warns that she will always return to protect her loved ones from harm. The film closes with her spirit finally finding peace while her sister Ushanjali and Sreenu start afresh, free from the horrors of the past.
