Land of Bad is a 2024 American action thriller directed by William Eubank. The script was co-written by Eubank and David Frigerio. The cast includes Liam Hemsworth, Russell Crowe, Luke Hemsworth, Ricky Whittle, and Milo Ventimiglia. The film was released on February 16, 2024, and earned $6.5 million globally.

Captain Eddie "Reaper" Grimm, a US Air Force drone pilot, supports a Delta Force team on a rescue mission in the southern Philippines. The mission aims to save a CIA spy but goes wrong after a firefight with Abu Sayyaf militants.

Sergeant JJ Kinney, nicknamed "Playboy," is the only survivor. With air support from Grimm’s drone, Kinney tries to reach an extraction point. However, the Abu Sayyaf intercept him, forcing the drone to exhaust its ammunition.

Kinney is captured after losing his weapons and falling during his escape. Master Sergeant John "Sugar" Sweet, presumed dead, rescues Kinney. Sweet reveals that another soldier, Sergeant Bishop, is being held captive in a cave.

Kinney uses Sweet's radio to contact Grimm, who schedules three bombings on the enemy base. Before the strikes, Grimm and his partner, Sergeant Nia Branson, are forced to leave due to exceeding their duty hours.

Kinney and Sweet are captured during their raid. Sweet is executed, but Kinney survives the first bombing. He kills the rebel leader, calls for the bombings to stop, and searches for other prisoners.

Back at the base, Grimm struggles to relay Kinney’s warning due to staff negligence. He manages to abort the third strike just in time, saving Kinney, Bishop, and the CIA agent.

Grimm confronts his colleagues for their lack of focus. Later, Branson asks him to walk her down the aisle at her wedding. The film ends with the two sharing a dance in a hangar.
