Red One is a 2024 American Christmas fantasy action-comedy film. Jake Kasdan directed it, and Chris Morgan wrote it. The story is by Hiram Garcia.

The movie stars Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, J.K. Simmons, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju, and Wesley Kimmel. The story is about Callum Drift (Johnson), head of North Pole security, and Jack O'Malley (Evans), a hacker. They work together to rescue Santa Claus (Simmons), who is kidnapped on Christmas Eve.

Amazon MGM Studios, Seven Bucks Productions, Chris Morgan Productions, and The Detective Agency made the film. Filming started in October 2022 and ended in February 2023. Atlanta was one of the filming locations.

The movie came out internationally on November 6, 2024, through Warner Bros. Pictures. In the U.S., it was released on November 15 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The film did poorly at the box office, earning $166.5 million on a budget of $200–$250 million. Critics gave it mostly negative reviews.

M.O.R.A. (Mythological Oversight and Restoration Authority) is a secret military group. It keeps peace between mythological creatures and humans. Callum Drift, who leads Santa’s security team (ELF), wants to retire after one last Christmas. He is upset by the growing Naughty List.

On Christmas Eve, a black ops team breaks into the North Pole and kidnaps Santa. Callum contacts Zoe Harlow, the director of M.O.R.A. They discover that a hacker named Jack O'Malley leaked the North Pole's location. Jack, unaware of its connection to Santa, sold the info to an unknown buyer.

Zoe captures Jack and offers him double payment if he helps find Santa. She also places a tracker inside him. Callum reluctantly teams up with Jack. They follow clues to Aruba, where they learn the winter witch Grýla is behind the kidnapping. Grýla sends snowmen to attack them, but Callum and Jack escape.

Callum thinks Grýla is working with Krampus, Santa’s estranged brother and the creator of the Naughty List. Callum and Jack find Krampus but are captured. Callum asks Krampus to help Santa, but he refuses. Jack convinces Krampus to play a game. During the game, Jack recovers Callum’s magic gauntlet, and they escape.

Grýla keeps Santa locked in a vault that drains his magic. She plans to use snow globes to trap all naughty children forever. She tests one on Jack and his son Dylan. Both are trapped in the snow globes. Inside, they have a heartfelt talk. This makes them "nicer," causing the globes to break and freeing them.

Zoe and Callum track Jack to the North Pole. They discover that Grýla and her team never left. Grýla's shapeshifters have taken over the North Pole. Callum and Zoe rescue Mrs. Claus and the staff. They also find Grýla’s equipment for making snow globes.

Grýla tries to leave with Santa in his sleigh. Callum, Jack, and Krampus stop her. Santa wakes up and forgives Krampus. Grýla is trapped in one of her own snow globes and handed over to Zoe.

With Grýla defeated, everyone prepares for Christmas Eve. Santa invites Jack and Dylan to join him. They accept. During the run, Callum sees Jack regain his wonder and reconnect with Dylan. Callum decides not to retire.
